Switching roles

When you log on to the TrueSight Server Automation Console and are assigned to multiple roles, or when you are already running the console and want to change roles, you can choose a role to assume.

Through RBAC, users can be granted multiple roles, but a user can only assume one role at a time.

To switch roles

1. Do one of the following:
   • Log on to TrueSight Server Automation. If you are assigned to multiple roles, the Assume Role dialog box appears.
   • While you are running TrueSight Server Automation, select Configuration > Switch Role. The Assume Role dialog box appears.
2. From Select Role, choose a role you want to use.
3. Click OK. 
   The servers and other objects displayed in TrueSight Server Automation may change if the new role grants you access to different resources.
