Creating Snapshot Jobs
Snapshot Jobs make a record of one or more server configurations at a point in time. You can base Snapshot Job on components or server objects. To create a Snapshot Job, see the following sections:

Before you begin
Ensure that you have enough space on the application server and on the file system for the temporary storage of .snp and .bnp files, which are created during the execution of the Snapshot Job and are automatically deleted after the job has completed. To create Snapshot Jobs based on components
- To create a new Snapshot Job, do one of the following:
- Open the Components or Component Templates folder and select a component. Right-click and select Snapshot.
Open the Jobs folder and select a job folder. Right-click and select New > Snapshot Job.
- In the Snapshot Job wizard, define the Snapshot Job, as described in the following sections:
- Click Finish after completing the last step of the wizard.
To create Snapshot Jobs based on server objects
- To create a new Snapshot Job, do one of the following:
- Open the Servers folder and select a server. Right-click and select Snapshot from the pop-up menu.
- Open the Server folder. Select a server, right-click and select Browse. Then, under the server's Live node (in the content editor), right-click any relevant asset, and select Snapshot.
- Open the Jobs folder and select a job folder. Right-click and select New > Snapshot Job from the pop-up menu.
- In the Snapshot Job wizard, define the Snapshot Job, as described in the following sections:
- After completing the last step of the wizard, click Finish.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
