Technical bulletin: Hotfix for Vendor Patch Content

A hotfix is now available for TrueSight Server Automation 22.2 to address the following issues:

  • The Vendor Patch Content Job for HP-UX fails due to Perl taint issue or permission errors.
This issue occurs when the low privilege user (bluser) in enabled (default) on the Application Server. You can disable it by using the  BLASAdmin parameter, EnableLowPrivUser in the Appserver module. For more information, see Restricting-access-to-the-Application-Server-file-system.
  • You cannot generate the Vendor Patch Content reports in TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation even though the nsh load-patch-content.nsh script to install the Vendor Patch Content executes successfully.
