Finding system objects with broken dependencies

You can find system objects with broken dependencies by using the BROKEN_OBJECT property.

All objects have an intrinsic property called BROKEN_OBJECT. By default, this property is set to False. When a dependency on another object is broken, the BROKEN_OBJECT property is automatically set to True.

To find system objects with broken dependencies

Create a smart group with a condition stating that BROKEN_OBJECT must equal True.

For example, you could create a component template smart group with a condition stating that BROKEN_OBJECT must equal True. This smart group displays all component templates with broken dependencies.
