Uninstalling other components on UNIX and Linux

This topic provides instructions for uninstalling components other than the TrueSight Server Automation Console on UNIX and Linux operating systems.

To uninstall other components on UNIX and Linux

  1. Log on as root.
  2. Navigate to the directory where TrueSight Server Automation components are installed. By default, this directory is /opt/bmc/bladelogic.
  3. Navigate to the NSH subdirectory.
  4. Invoke the installation script by entering the following command:
    ./Uninstall

    Note

If you installed the component using the local option, you must specify that option when you uninstall the component. For example:
    ./Uninstall -local

For more information about uninstalling with the -local option, see Uninstalling-components-using-the-local-option-on-UNIX-or-Linux

  5. A series of messages indicates the status of uninstallation progress. Then, the following prompt is displayed:
Do you wish to retain the certificate.pem file (y/n)?
  6. Enter y or n as appropriate.
     Uninstallation is complete.

To uninstall the Network Shell or the RSCD agent using the RPM installer

  1. Log in as a root user to the system from where you want to uninstall the NSH or RSCD agent.
  2. Change to the installation directory.
  3. Run the following command:
    rpm -ev <rpmInstaller>
where <rpmInstaller> is the name of the RPM installer.
