Setting up the file server

This topic provides instructions for setting up the file server using the blasadmin setting.

This blasadmin setting is case sensitive. Also, these file server configurations are applied to all the Application Servers.

To set up the file server

  1. Start the Application Server Administration console as described in Starting-the-Application-Server-Administration-console.
  2. To specify the name of the file server, enter:
    set fileserver name <hostname>
     where hostname is the name of the server where data is stored.
  3. To specify the location of the file server directory, enter:
    set fileserver location <directory>
     where directory is the directory on the file server where data is stored. Use a Network Shell path to a directory For example, /c/FileServer instead a Windows path, such as C:\FileServer.
  4. Restart the Application Server.
