Invoking the CLI
To invoke the CLI, use the following format:
blcli <Name Space> <Command Name> <Argument1> ... <ArgumentN>
For information about using BLCLI arguments, see Executing Commands. For information about using BLCLI command options, see BLCLI-command-options.
When executing Network Shell scripts that use the CLI, you must first launch Network Shell before invoking the CLI.
The CLI is not a shell. Every time you execute a command, the CLI must start, launching the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), and then shut down. Each execution requires you to authenticate against the BMC Server Automation Application Server by using the contents of the credentials cache.
