Analyzing Servers for Specific Containers

You can also create a AIX Patching Job that performs a list-based analysis, by specifying the containers to be included or excluded. To do so, follow the process described in Creating-an-AIX-Patching-Job, with the following exception:

  1. On the Include/Exclude Selection panel in the Analysis Options tab, select the List option and select the container /smartgroup to be analyzed.
  2. Click OK. The container /smartgroup appears in the Include/Exclude panel.
  3. Click OK to confirm your selection.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
