This topic provides information about the prerequisites for BMC Remedy OnDemand integration:
- Before you begin
- TrueSight Server Automation and Remedy OnDemand integration product compatibility matrix
Before you begin
- The following products and components must be installed:
- TrueSight Server Automation Application Server
- TrueSight Server Automation Console on the computer where BMC Remedy OnDemand is to be installed
- BMC Decision Support for Server Automation
- ITSM Stack
- BMC Remedy AR System

For information about the tested and compatible product versions for this release, see compatibility matrix.
- Database types. The following components must use the same database type (both Oracle or both SQL Server)
- TrueSight Server Automation
- BMC Decision Support for Server Automation
However, the BMC Atrium CMDB database can be of a different type. For example, the TrueSight Server Automation and BMC Decision Support for Server Automation databases can be Oracle, and the BMC Atrium CMDB database can be SQL Server.
- At least one server must be enrolled on the Application Server on which TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration is being installed.
TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration installation fails if no servers are enrolled on the Application Server on which TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration is being installed or if the Hardware Information configuration object is not distributed on the enrolled server. - The TrueSight Server Automation Application Server must be able to resolve the host name of the computer on which you are installing the TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration.
- A licensed RSCD agent must be installed on the computer where TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration is being installed and the agent must be running.
- Before you install TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration, ensure that you have restarted the RSCD agent on the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation report server after the installation of BMC Decision Support for Server Automation.
- TrueSight Server Automation Console must already be installed on the computer where you are installing TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration.
- Verify the following TCP ports requirements before installing TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration:
- On the computer where TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration will be installled, verify that the TCP port number 12333 is not in use.
- Ensure that the same TCP ports are used by RSCD agents on the following computers (default port: 4750):
- the computer on which TrueSight Server Automation Application Server is installed
- the computer on which TrueSight Server Automation Console is installed and TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration will be installed
the computer on which BMC Decision Support for Server Automation is installed
For the computer on which TrueSight Server Automation Console is installed and TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration will be installed, verify that the authentication port specified in the authentication profile of the Console is not in use (default port: 9840).
The TCP port used by the BMC Remedy AR System server is needed for connectivity between the computers on which TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration is being installed and BMC Remedy AR System server is installed (default port: 0).
Verify that the TCP port of the computer on which the TrueSight Server Automation Remedy OnDemand Integration is installed, corresponding to the port used by the Database server hosting BMC Decision Support for Server Automation, is free. The default ports are 1521 (Oracle) and 1433 (Microsoft SQL).
To install the product on a 64-bit Linux computer, verify that the libstdc++.so.5 library is available in your Linux installation. You can find the RPM associated with this library using the following command:
