Upgrading


TrueSight Server Automation provides a centralized upgrade UI for upgrading all TrueSight Server Automation components.

BMC recommends using the centralized UI in the unified product installer. It provides the individual component installers for operating systems that are not supported by the unified product installer. For a centralized upgrade of multiple product components, you can also choose to run the unified product installer in unattended (silent) mode.

Note: About data warehouse upgrade

If your TrueSight Server Automation environment includes TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation, upgrade TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation before upgrading TrueSight Server Automation.

You can continue to use the earlier versions of RSCD agents without upgrading them to the latest version. However, ensure that their version is 8.9.03 or later to use the patching capabilities in TrueSight Server Automation. For more information, see this flash notification.

Artifacts installed when you upgrade with the unified product installer

When you upgrade your TrueSight Server Automation environment using the unified product installer, the installer no longer installs or upgrades the following artifacts:

  • ZipKits
  • blcontent
  • SCAP compliance jobs creation
  • Quick start page
