Announcing the hotfix for iDRAC 9 support

Hotfix IDRAC 9 is now available for TrueSight Server Automation 20.02. Install this hotfix if you want to enable support for iDRAC 9.

Preinstallation tasks

Before installing the hotfix, back up the bladelogic_provisioning.jar file from the following paths:

• Application Server path:
  • (Windows) <AppServer_installation_directory>\NSH\br\stdlib
  • (Linux) <AppServer_installation_directory>/NSH/br/stdlib
• PXE Server path:
  • (Windows) <PXEServer_installation_directory>\PXE\br\stdlib
  • (Linux) <PXEServer_installation_directory>/PXE/br/stdlib

Installing the hotfix

Do the following:

1. Log in to the system where the Application Server is installed, and stop it.
2. Similarly, stop the PXE Server.

3. From the FTP location, download the IDRAC9.zip file to a temporary directory and extract it.

4. At the following paths, replace the bladelogic_provisioning.jar file with the file that you extracted in the previous step.
   
   • Application Server path:
     • (Windows) <AppServer_installation_directory>\NSH\br\stdlib
     • (Linux) <AppServer_installation_directory>/NSH/br/stdlib
   • PXE Server path:
     • (Windows) <PXEServer_installation_directory>\PXE\br\stdlib
     • (Linux) <PXEServer_installation_directory>/PXE/br/stdlib
5. Restart the Application Server and PXE Server.
6. Repeat these steps to install the hotfix on the other systems where the Application Server is installed.

Rolling back the hotfix

You can roll back the hotfix if the bladelogic_provisiong.jar file is corrupted or if you face any other issues.

Do the following:

1. Stop the Application Server and PXE Server.
2. Copy the bladelogic_provisiong.jar file that you backed up before installing the hotfix.
3. At the following paths, replace the existing bladelogic_provisiong.jar file with the backedup file that you copied in the previous step:
   
   • Application Server path:
     • (Windows) <AppServer_installation_directory>\NSH\br\stdlib
     • (Linux) <AppServer_installation_directory>/NSH/br/stdlib
   • PXE Server path:
     • (Windows) <PXEServer_installation_directory>\PXE\br\stdlib
     • (Linux) <PXEServer_installation_directory>/PXE/br/stdlib
4. Restart the Application Server and PXE Server.
