Download the installation files.

1. Download the RSCD agent installer files. The Smart Agent is packaged with the RSCD agent installer.
2. Download the Smart Hub installer files.

Install the Smart Hub.

Smart Agents communicate with the Application Server through the Smart Hub. You can install the Smart Hub using a script or silently.

Register the Smart Hub in the Application Server.

The Application Server polls the Smart Hub continuously to process work requests from Smart Agents. Register the Smart Hub to enable the Application Server to retrieve work requests from the Smart Hub.

Install or upgrade the RSCD agent.

Install or upgrade the RSCD agent using the Agent Installer job, Virtual Guest Package (VGI), or manually. The Smart Agent is installed along with the RSCD agent. You can also create and deploy the virtual machines based on the template containing the RSCD agent and Smart Agent.

Verify the enrollment and Smart Agent status.

On the TrueSight Server Automation console, verify that the newly-provisioned servers are enrolled. Also, check the Smart Agent properties to know the status of RSCD and Smart Agents.
