Deleting groups in the TrueSight Server Automation Console

Use this procedure to specify that users of the TrueSight Server Automation Console cannot delete groups or folders unless they are empty. By default, users can delete groups and folders even when they contain system objects.
This setting has no effect on smart groups, which users can always delete.

1. Start the Application Server Administration console, as described in Starting the Application Server Administration console.
2. To specify if users can delete groups or folders, enter the following:set ConfigManagerUI GroupsMustBeEmpty true|false
   • True indicates that groups must be empty before they can be deleted.
   • False indicates users can delete groups and folders even when they contain objects.
3. Restart the Application Server.
