Patch Downloader utility for Microsoft Windows

The Patch Downloader utility for Microsoft Windows, provided by BMC, uses a configuration file that contains the following information:

  • Definition of a proxy server (if one is used)
  • Identification of a local, temporary directory on the server that is used by the Patch Downloader utility during download
  • Filter definitions which determine the metadata and payload that is downloaded from the Shavlik Technologies website

Note

To run the patch downloader utility, you have the option of using windows_downloader.bat on a Windows machine or windows_downloader.sh on a UNIX machine.
