Creating Depot objects and Deploy Jobs using the BMC Server Automation console

The following Depot objects and Deploy jobs are shipped with BMC Server Automation and are used by BMC Server Automation to create and execute Deploy jobs for Puppet Agent bundles and Puppet modules.

Note

For versions earlier than BMC Server Automation 8.5, the Puppet functionality is not available in the BMC Server Automation Console. However, you can use NSH scripts to create Deploy jobs for installing the Agent and executing the Puppet modules on a target. For more information, see Creating-Depot-objects-and-Deploy-Jobs-using-Network-Shell-Commands.

Before you execute the Puppet modules, install the Puppet Agent bundle on the target server by performing the following tasks:

  1. Creating-Deploy-Jobs-for-Puppet-agent-bundle
  2. Creating-Deploy-Jobs-for-importing-Puppet-modules
