Running the Patch Downloader utility for SUSE Linux Enterprise
The following procedures describe how to run the Patch Downloader utility and how to extract RPM packages from files using the ISO format.
To download patches using defined filters for SUSE Linux Enterprise
Enter the following command:
sh suse_downloader.sh -configFile "<downloaderConfigurationFilePath>"
This command uses the following variable:
<downloaderConfigurationFilePath> | Location of the configuration file used by the Patch Downloader. |
To extract packages from ISO
Enter the following command:
sh suse_downloader.sh -extractPackagesFromISO -repoLocation "<patchRepositoryFilePath>"
-isoLocation "<isoFilePath>" -osArch "<operatingSystemArchitecture>"
-isoLocation "<isoFilePath>" -osArch "<operatingSystemArchitecture>"
This command uses the following variables:
<patchRepositoryFilePath> | Local location of the patch repository used by the Patch Downloader |
<isoFilePath> | Location of the ISO from which RPMs are extracted. |
<operatingSystemArchitecture> | An OS/architecture combination; for example, SLES10x86 |
