Using NFS to mount a location while running single-user  mode

Using server properties, you can allow an agent on a target server running in single-user mode to mount a source location using the NFS data transmission protocol.

A UNIX agent may need to mount a source location if a patch or software package being deployed is defined to use the "Agent mounts source for direct use at deployment" option, as described in Adding-software.

This procedure requires you to set a value for the DEPLOY_ALLOW_NFS_DURING_SUM server property. By default this server property is set to false, which means the agent on a target server running in single-user mode cannot mount a source location using NFS.

Most servers are not configured to use NFS while running in single-user mode. Enabling NFS in this context usually requires special configuration. Before running a Deploy Job on a server with DEPLOY_ALLOW_NFS_DURING_SUM set to True, you must configure the server to use NFS in single-user mode. Otherwise the agent is not able to mount a source location successfully.

To use NFS to mount a location while running single-user mode

To allow the agent on a target server running in single-user mode to mount a source location using NFS, set the DEPLOY_ALLOW_NFS_DURING_SUM server property to True.
