Audit Job - Targets

The Targets panel lets you choose the servers, server groups, components, and component groups to be included in an Audit Job.

If you are basing an audit on:

  • Component templates — The job audits components based on those component templates. For targets, you can select individual components, component groups, component templates, servers, or snapshots based on the component templates. If you:
    • Select a component group, the Audit Job runs on all the components in the component group that are based on the specified component templates at the time the job executes.
    • Select a server, the Audit Job runs on all components on that server that are based on the specified component templates at the time the job executes.
    • Leave the Selected Targets list empty, the Audit Job runs on all discovered components that are based on the specified component templates at the time the job executes.
  • Server objects — The job audits the specified server objects on the target servers or snapshots you select. If you target a server group, the Audit Job runs on all servers assigned to that group at the time the job executes.
