Audit Job - Server Objects

The Server Objects panel lets you identify live server objects that form the basis of an audit. It also lets you limit the server objects you select, and it lets you choose the types of object attributes you want to audit.

The Server Objects panel is only available when you are basing an audit on live server objects.

To define an Audit Job based on server objects, you must first select a master server and then select one or more server objects on that master or you must select a server object based snapshot as master (which automatically selects corresponding server objects from the snapshot). Then, you can refine the selections using includes or excludes and audit options.

Field definitions

Master server/Master Snapshot

Identifies live server or a server object based snapshot on which you are basing the audit. For more information, see Selecting-master-and-server-objects.

Server Objects

Specifies the server objects that should be audited. For more information, see Selecting-master-and-server-objects.

Includes/Excludes

Specifies server objects that should be included or excluded from an audit. For example, you might want to exclude all log files or backup files in a directory. For more information, see Specifying-includes-and-excludes.

Snapshot/Audit options

Specifies information associated with server objects that should be compared during an audit. For more information, see Specifying-audit-options-for-a-server-object.

Note

If you change the master in an existing Audit Job, the job is considered a new Audit Job and all Audit-Options are reset to default. For more information, see Audit-Job-overview.
