Execution Task - Targets

The Targets panel lets you specify the targets for the Execution Task.

Do one of the following:

  • Select Use job targets for the Execution Task to run against the same target servers that were defined for the associated job.
  • Select Use the following targets (the default option) to specify targets for the Execution Task. Then transfer any number of target servers from the list of available servers to the list of selected servers using the right arrow.
     For certain types of jobs, you have a choice of selecting target servers from either a tree on the By Group tab (where you can also select server groups or smart server groups) or from a sortable list on the By Name tab. For certain types of jobs, you can also select target components through the Targets panel, as relevant for the specific job type.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
