Database updates for SP3
BMC Server Automation 8.3 SP3 includes the following database updates:
- Cleanup of JobRunEvents
- Database Maintenance Wizard UI changes
- Database Maintenance process through CLI
Cleanup of JobRunEvents
When the BLCLI command cleanupHistoricalData JobRunEvent is executed, it now cleans up additional data along with the JobRunEvent data that falls into the retention period. With this update, JobRunEvents that belong to deleted Job Runs will be cleaned up with the cleanupHistoricalData JobRunEvent execution.
Database Maintenance Wizard UI changes
BMC Server Automation 8.3 SP3 provides UI enhancements to the wizard. For detailed information about the updated wizard, see Running-the-Database-Maintenance-Wizard.
Database Maintenance process through CLI
BMC Server Automation 8.3 SP3allows you to perform Offline Database Maintenance through CLI. This approach allows easy adoption of Offline Database Maintenance on UNIX environments and better tracking of the maintenance process.
