Installation updates for SP2
BMC Server Automation version 8.3 SP2 includes the following installation update:
Local installation, upgrade, or uninstallation
You can now install, upgrade, or uninstall BMC Server Automation components — the Application Server, Network Shell, and RSCD Agents — on Linux or Solaris SPARC platforms using the -local option. You can also combine the -local option with a silent installation, upgrde, or uninstallation. For the installation of the Application Server, the local installation can be performed as either a root user or as the bladmin user.
