Solaris online patch catalog updates fail with error

Solaris Online patch catalog updates fail with an error due to changes in the Oracle online patch repository. 

When you try to run the Solaris Online Patch Catalog Update job from the BMC Server Automation console, it fails with an error such as the following:

Fatal error while updating metadata. Precheck Failed : Invalid Credentials. Check your credentials and proxy details.

This problem is caused due to the recent changes in the Oracle online patch repository.
