Virtual guest OS support

The following table lists the various guest operating systems supported by each server version:

 1 If Guest OS customization for Windows Server 2012 does not complete, reboot the virtual machine manually, as described in VMware knowledge base article 2037366. See also known issue QM001776934. This issue was resolved in vCenter Server 5.0 Update 2, vCenter Server 5.1 Update 1, and ESXi 5.1 Update 1.

 2 Support for vCenter Server 5.5 is provided in BMC Server Automation 8.3.03 (8.3 SP 3), and requires a workaround discussed in Knowledge Article KA414807 from BMC Customer Support.

 3 Supported in BMC Server Automation 8.3.01 (8.3 SP1) or later.

Warning

Note

BMC supports use of the Debian package installer only for installation of the Network Shell or the RSCD agent. BMC does not support using the Debian package installer to upgrade these components. To upgrade, you must uninstall the earlier version and install the version to which you want to upgrade.
