Distributing configuration objects to the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager server

To install required custom configuration objects on the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager server, use a Distribute Configuration Objects Job.

Note

If you are upgrading to this version of BMC Server Automation UCS Manager, deregister the previous version of the UCS Manager configuration objects using a Deregister Configuration Objects Job. Then use this task to install the new version of the UCS Manager configuration objects. For more information, see Upgrading-an-existing-BMC-Server-Automation-UCS-Manager-environment .

To distribute configuration objects to the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager server

  1. In the console, open the Servers folder.
  2. Right-click the name of the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager server and select Administration Task > Distribute Configuration Objects.The Distribute Configuration Objects Job wizard opens.

  3. In addition to whatever other options you choose, make sure to include the following selections:

    Panel

    Selection

    General

    Specify a name for the job.

    Selected Configuration Objects

    Select BladeLogic UCS Manager v82,000.

  4. When the Distribute Configuration Objects job completes successfully, restart the RSCD agent on the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager server.
