Adding a UCS system

You add a UCS system from the BMC Server Automation Console. As you add the UCS system, you can optionally change the port number for the UCS system to a value other than the default port 80.

To add a UCS system

  1. Open the Servers folder and navigate to the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager server.
  2. Right-click the server and select Browse.
  3. Choose the Live Browse tab.
  4. Right-click the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager node and select Add UCS.
    The Add UCS window displays.
  5. Specify the UCS name or IP address of the UCS system that you want to add to the console.
The IP address is the virtual IP address used to access the fabric interconnect switch on the UCS system.
  6. Accept the default port number 80 or specify a different port number.

Note

To change the port number for a UCS system that was previously added, remove the UCS system and then re-add it. From the Live Browse tab, right-click the BMC Server Automation UCS Manager node and select Remove UCS. Then right-click the node again and select Add UCS.
