Setting up the file server

This topic provides instructions for setting up the file server.

To set up the file server

  1. Start the Application Server Administration console as described in Starting the Application Server Administration console.
  2. To specify the name of the file server, enter:
    set fileserver name <hostname>
     where hostname is the name of the server where data is stored.
  3. To specify the location of the file server directory, enter:
    set fileserver location <directory>
     where directory is the directory on the file server where data is stored. Use a Network Shell path to a directory, such as /c/FileServer, as opposed to a Windows path, such as C:\FileServer.
  4. Restart the Application Server.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
