Repeater Routing - General

The General panel lets define basic information about the rule you are creating.

Description

Name

Enter a name for the new server property on which rules are based. The name cannot be the same as an existing built-in server property.

Note

Choose a name with care. The Routing Wizard uses the name to create a custom property class, an instance of that class, and a server property. These items affect the entire BMC Server Automation system and once created, cannot easily be modified. For example, suppose you want a target server's location to determine which repeater to use for indirect staging. In that case, you might choose Location as the name of the property.

Description

Optionally enter descriptive text about the property.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
