Adding a custom action to an asset

Using the BLPackage editor, you can add an asset that includes a custom action to a BLPackage.

To add a custom action

1. In the hierarchy view, click anywhere in the BLPackage, right-click, and select Add> Asset Custom Action from the pop-up menu. The Add Asset Custom Action dialog box appears.
2. From Type, select the type of asset for which you would like to add a custom action.
   The drop-down list displays all custom configuration objects that have deployable actions.
3. For Path, click Browse , which displays a selection dialog box. (The name of the dialog box depends on the type of asset you selected in the previous step.) Using the dialog box, navigate to the custom asset you want to import.
   You can only navigate to assets that are applicable to the type of server object you selected in the previous step.
4. Click OK. The right pane shows the custom asset you have imported.
5. In the right pane, using the drop-down list for Action, select the custom action you want to add to the BLPackage.
