Snapshot and audit basics
The types of server objects you can snapshot and audit vary by operating system.
For example, you can take snapshot of Services server object under Windows agent but this server object is not available under non-Windows agents.
Snapshots and audits of virtual infrastructure servers (such as clusters, hosts, AIX LPARS, VIO Servers, or Solaris non-global zones) can include configuration information for any of the virtual machines contained within the host server. In addition, if a virtual infrastructure server is licensed and managed by BMC Server Automation, that server appears in the Servers folder. You can snapshot and audit the contents of a virtual server just as you would any other managed server. For more information see Running-Snapshot-Audit-and-Compliance-Jobs-on-virtual-infrastructure.
All component machines in a BMC Server Automation system should have their clocks synchronized.
