Creating and modifying Batch Jobs

A Batch Job is a concatenated series of jobs. Batch Jobs are useful when administrators must perform multiple discrete jobs.

You can include almost any type of job in a Batch Job. You can even include other Batch Jobs, in effect nesting Batch Jobs.

Note

You cannot include a Workflow Job or a Provisioning Job in a Batch Job.

A typical Batch Job might execute the jobs necessary to provision a server with applications and application infrastructure. Or, a Batch Job might deploy a series of BLPackages to update a distributed application that consists of components running on database, application, and web servers.
