Considerations for upgrading from versions earlier than version 7.6

If you want to upgrade a BMC Server Automation system that is earlier than version 7.6, you must first upgrade that installation to version 7.6.

For example, if you are upgrading from version 7.4.0 to version 8.2, you need the version 7.6 installers to run the migration from version 7.4.0 to version 7.6.0. Then you need the version 8.2 installers to run the 7.6.0 to 8.2 migration. Going forward from version 8.2, the migration track is linked.
