Grouping of custom object assets within BLPackages

Custom configuration objects can now be defined so that some or all of their assets can be grouped within a BLPackage. BMC calls these asset groups. A Deploy Job processes all of the items in an asset group together rather than individually, which is the typical behavior for a Deploy Job.

The following is an example of an asset group in a BLPackage.

Currently, only BMC Application Automation uses asset grouping.

Custom configuration objects can be defined so that items in the group are always included in the same group when you add them to a BLPackage.

You can cut and paste items in an asset group. You can also delete and reorder items.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
