Updated installers for Compliance Content add-ons

BMC Server Automation version 8.2 SP3 provides updated installers for Compliance Content add-ons.

The latest installers for Compliance Content add-ons are available for download under BSA 8.2.00 SP3 Server Automation Compliance Content for <Linux/Solaris/Windows> (available from the BMC BladeLogic Server Automation Suite 8.2.03 folder) on the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website.

New naming convention for installer files

The installer files now follow a new naming convention, with the following files available for the various operating systems:

  • Windows:Content82-SP3-WIN.exe
  • Solaris:Content82-SP3-SOL.bin
  • Linux:Content82-SP3-LIN.bin

Enhanced remediation

As of Service Pack 3 for BMC Server Automation 8.2, remediation for the CIS - Windows Server 2008template and the PCIv2 - Windows Server 2008 template is provided for both Member Servers and Domain Controller servers. For Domain Controller servers, remediation is provided on Default Domain Controller Security Policy and/or Default Domain Security Policy. For more information, see Remediating-compliance-results.
