Enabling disabling repeater rule evaluation

By default, BMC Server Automation evaluates a target server's repeater routing policy to determine the repeater to use for indirect staging to that server. If no repeater routing policy is defined, the system uses the REPEATER_NAME property on the server. You can disable repeater rule evaluation and have REPEATER_NAME property determine the repeater.

To enable or disable repeater rule evaluation

  1. Start the Application Server Administration console.

    Warning

The macro unmigrated-inline-wiki-markup from Confluence is no longer available.

  2. To enable or disable repeater rule evaluation, use the following command:

    set RoutingConfig EvaluateRepeaterRules true|false

     Where:

    • true — Turns on repeater rule evaluation. The system evaluates repeater routing rules to determine the repeater to use for indirect staging. This is the default setting.
    • false — Turns off repeater rule evaluation. The system uses the value for the REPEATER_NAME property on the target server to determine the repeaters to use.
  3. Restart all applicable Application Servers (for example, all Application Servers that are job servers).

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
