Accessing the pconfig utility
Use the Wpconfig (Windows) and Xpconfig (UNIX) utility to configure the PATROL Agent. The utility allows you to manipulate both the configuration files used by the PATROL Agent and the variables in those files. For detailed information, see the following documents:

According to your operating system, do one of the following:
Using the wpconfig utility for windows
- Open Run.
- Enter wpconfig.
- Click OK.
- From Tools, select Get Configuration.
- In the Get Configuration dialog box, enter the host name of the computer where the PATROL Agent is installed.
The Agent configuration is called and displayed. - Expand and open the folders for your KM product.
- Make changes to the parameters.
- From the Tools menu, select Apply Configuration.
Using the xpconfig utility for UNIX
- Enter $patrol_home/bin
- In the access screen, click Host, enter the host name.
- Select the required protocol (TCP or UDP) for communication.
- Click Get Configuration. Enter the host name of the computer where the PATROL Agent is installed.
The Agent configuration is called and displayed. - Make changes to the parameters.
- Click Apply Configuration.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
