Managing reports using IBM Cognos
This topic lists some of the main tasks that you can perform on built-in and ad hoc reports and provides references to documentation for detailed instructions about performing the tasks.
When you first log on to BMC Decision Support for Server Automation, several built-in reports are available for your use. These reports provide a wide-range of information about your server environment. You can change the filter settings and schedules of a report to meet your needs. You cannot modify built-in reports unless you installed the Report Studio add-on package; however, you can create new reports that are customized to deliver information that is of interest to your organization.
For information about the built-in reports that are included with BMC Decision Support for Server Automation, see Viewing-built-in-reports.
For assistance with issues running reports, see Reporting-issues.
Your role must have the appropriate permission to perform some of these tasks. This list is a subset of all of the report-related tasks. For information about using reports, consult the following documentation (IBM Cognos documentation is available from the Help menu; for instructions about accessing it, see Cognos-documentation). For information about creating reports, see Creating-ad-hoc-reports. For information about modifying built-in reports, see Customizing-built-in-reports.
The following table lists the main tasks and references to documentation.
