Downloading the installation files


This topic explains how to obtain the files that you need for installation from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) site. This topic contains the following sections:

Installation files

The following table provides links to the page in the EPD website that contains the installation files for this product. From the EPD page you can select and download the installation files for your platform. Access to the EPD website requires that you provide your BMC Support credentials. You might also be prompted to complete the Export Compliance Form.

 To verify the files

Locate the files you downloaded and verify the MD5 checksum results before installation.

Tip

 You can use any MD5 checksum tool to verify the checksum results.

To extract the installation files

  1. Log on to the host computer where you want to install the product.
  2. Extract the downloaded BMC Decision Support for Server Automation installation files to a temporary directory.
    After you extract these installation files, the Disk1 directory is created, which contains installation executable and other supporting files. 

Where to go from here

Carefully review the system requirements for your platform and other tasks necessary for setting up the installation environment. You must perform these tasks before you launch the installation program.
