Configuration fails if passwords contain special characters

The product configuration fails if the BMC Server Automation database password, the certificate password, the BMC Server Automation user password, or the reports data warehouse password contain the following special characters:

  • Ampersand (&)
  • Double quotes (" ")
  • Pipe (|)
  • Less than sign (<)
  • Greater than sign (>)
  • Single quotes (' ')
  • Forward slash (/)
  • Semicolon (;)

Workaround: Avoid using special characters in passwords.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
