Starting all services

This topic describes how to start IBM Cognos, the Apache server, and the BMC Server Automation Authentication Service. Use the procedure for your OS type. 

Warning

Note

The commands described in the following sections do not start the Tomcat service. For instructions on starting the Tomcat service, see Starting-the-Tomcat-service.

To start services on UNIX-like computers

  1. Navigate to the BDSSAInstallationDirectorydirectory or the /etc/init.d directory (the command is available in both places).

  2. Type the following command:

    ./blreports start

To start services on Microsoft Windows 32-bit computers

  1. Navigate to the BDSSAInstallationDirectory directory.

  2. From a command prompt, type the following command:

    blreports.bat start

To start services on Windows 64-bit computers

  1. Navigate to the BDSSAInstallationDirectory directory.

  2. From a command prompt, type the following command:

    blreports_64.bat start

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
