If you are upgrading from an earlier version of BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Server Automation, see Upgrading for the upgrade paths and sequence before running the installer.

Ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • If you are reinstalling the product after uninstalling it, ensure that the Cognos service is removed before you start reinstalling the product.
  • The Oracle instance or Microsoft SQL Server services must be up and running for the Cognos service to start after the installation.
