Configuring Inventory reporting

BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Server Automation provides templates for Inventory report data collection and scripts for agent log data collection and the ETL process. To use these templates and scripts, you must obtain them from the BDSSAInstallationDirectory/contents directory and create BMC Server Automation jobs. For a list of inventory templates, see BMC-BladeLogic-Decision-Support-for-Server-Automation-inventory-templates. For more information about installing and using Inventory templates, see Installing-Inventory-templates-and-other-scripts.

This set of topics provide information about deploying Inventory templates for customers who want to make use of enhanced Inventory reporting provided in BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Server Automation version 8.3. This topic also provides details about the best practices to be followed for creating and upgrading Inventory templates.
