Managing single sign-on


This topic describes the command for generating and modifying single sign-on user credentials.

Use the gencred command to generate and modify encrypted single sign-on user credentials.

When you generate credentials, they are stored in the bmcsareports_user.dat file in the following location:

  • (Microsoft Windows) userHomeDirectory\BMCSAReports
  • (UNIX) userHomeDirectory/.bmcsareports

These credentials are used to authenticate you every time you execute a

command. Alternatively, you can bypass the credentials in the file by providing the credentials as command parameters when executing a command.
