Searching for objects in Metadata Navigator
This topic describes how to search for objects in
.To search for sessions and topology objects in
- Click Search in the left pane.
The Search page opens.
- Select the tab that represents the area in which you want to search: Topology or Sessions.
- Use one of the following procedures to perform a search.
- To search in Topology, provide search details in the following fields:
- Search For: Type the name of the item for which you want to search or a unique string in that name.
- Case-sensitive: Select to do a case-sensitive search.
- Search In: Select the topology categories in which you want to search or click Select all to search all categories.
- To search in Sessions, provide search details in the following fields. The search results return any sessions that meet the search criteria. For example, if you only provide session status, all sessions with that status are returned.
- Session ID: Type the session ID.
- Session Name: Type the session name.
- Started After Date (YYYY-MM-DD): Type the date using the specified format.
- Session Status: Select the status from the list.
- Agent: Select the agent from the list.
- User Name: Type the user name associated with the session.
- Context: Select the context from the list or leave (Any) selected.
- Search parent sessions only: Select to search only parent sessions.
- To search in Topology, provide search details in the following fields:
- Click Search.
The search results are displayed on the page.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
