Accessing Metadata Navigator objects

The 

workspace provides access to the objects related to your ETL setup.

In 

, you can browse or search for ETL-related objects to review detailed information about the objects or their execution, if applicable.

The 

is divided into two panes. The left pane displays the categories of objects related to your ETL configuration and system topology and provides links for various actions. These links are called the  menus. The right pane is the information display area.

When you click an object in the left pane, more details or prompts appear in the right pane. The left pane of 

includes two main category of objects: Execution and Topology.

Execution provides access to the scenarios and sessions related to data transfer configuration of your organization. From Execution, you can perform the following tasks:

• View all scenarios
• View all sessions

• View parent sessions

  The Execute a Scenario, Restart, and Scheduler functionalities are not available currently.

Topology provides access to details about your information system topology. From this area, you can view the following data about the physical and logical architecture of your site:

• Technologies
• Data servers
• Logical servers
• Contexts
• Physical agents
• Logical agents
