Running ETL
The first time that you run extract, transform, and load (ETL) after installing the product, it populates the empty reports data warehouse and can take some time. You can use the set_etl_cutoff.nsh script to limit the amount of data transferred during that run. Subsequent ETL runs do not take as long, because these are incremental runs and smaller amounts of data are being transferred to the reports warehouse.
- Use the set_etl_cutoff.nsh script, to specify the start date after which data needs to be transferred in ETL runs.
If you want to limit the amount of data that is transferred during the ETL process, run this script before you run ETL. - Use the run_etl_from_om.nsh script to create a Network Shell Job that runs ETL. This is the recommended method of running ETL.
- Use the run_etl.nsh script to run ETL in scheduled runs or directly from the command line.
