Starting all services

This topic describes how to start IBM Cognos, the Apache server, and the

Authentication Service. Use the procedure for your OS type.

To start services on UNIX-like computers

  1. Navigate to the BDSSAInstallationDirectorydirectory or the /etc/init.d directory (the command is available in both places).

  2. Type the following command:

    ./blreports start

To start services on Microsoft Windows 32-bit computers

  1. Navigate to the BDSSAInstallationDirectory directory.

  2. From a command prompt, type the following command:

    blreports.bat start

Starting services on Windows 64-bit computers

  1. Navigate to the BDSSAInstallationDirectory directory.

  2. From a command prompt, type the following command:

    blreports_64.bat start

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
