Postinstallation procedures


After BMC Change Automation is successfully installed, perform the following postinstallation procedures:

Steps to perform in BMC Atrium Orchestrator

In case of fresh installation of BMC Atrium Orchestrator version 7.9, verify whether BMC Atrium Orchestrator is installed successfully.

  • Log on to the Grid Manager using the appropriate URL:

  • Log on to the Repository Manager using the appropriate URL:

Verify that the required BMC Atrium Orchestrator modules are activated and adapters are enabled.

  • Verify whether the BMC-SA-CLA_ITSM_Integration module is added to the Repository Manager:

Steps to perform in BMC Server Automation

Enable configuration of BMC Change Automation in BMC Server Automation

Ensure that connection details of BMC Atrium Orchestrator and BMC Remedy IT Service Management are correctly configured and BMC Change Automation is enabled in BMC Server Automation.

Review results of one-click validation test

Check validation errors with results of one-click validation test and resolve the errors, if any.

(Optional) Manually run the one-click validation utility

After resolving all the errors, manually re-run the one-click validation utility again to ensure that there are no more errors and that all integration validation tests pass successfully.  See Manually running the one-click utility.
