Use information provided in this topic to verify whether the Operator-Initiated Change capability is enabled.

  1. In BMC Server Automation console, from the Jobs folder, select the job configured for Operator-Initiated Change.
  2. Right-click the job and select Execute.

    Execute job.png
  3. In the Change Request Information dialog box, enter the details to create a Request For Change.

    Create request.png
  4. Click OK.

    Note

After the RFC is submitted to BMC Remedy Change Management, the change manager must review and approve it. BMC Atrium Orchestrator polls for updates periodically for every five minutes. If the request is approved and scheduled, BMC Atrium Orchestrator sends the change record status to BMC Server Automation and the corresponding job is run in BMC Server Automation.

  5. In the Jobs folder, navigate to the job, and review the following values:
    1. Activity column in the General tab - This column provides information about whether the RFC is submitted to BMC Remedy Change Management and a corresponding change record is created.
The Waiting for approval value indicates that a change record and a corresponding task is created for your job in BMC Remedy Change Management.
