Verifying the execution of Change-Initiated Job
Before verifying, ensure that basic configurations are enabled. Follow the steps below sequentially to verify the execution of Change-Initiated Job.
To create a task template
- In BMC Server Automation console, double-click the job for which you want to configure a task template.
- Provide all the job details in the job wizard.
- Select the Change Task Template Enabled check box to create a corresponding task template in BMC Remedy IT Service Management.
- Click Finish.
To find a task template
- Log on to the BMC Remedy IT Service Management console and navigate to Application Administration Console > Custom Configuration > Task Management System > Task Configuration > Task Template.
- Confirm that the task template you configured for your job appears in the search.
To create a change record
- Log on to the BMC Remedy IT Service Management console and navigate to Change Management > New Change.
Enter the required details to create a change record. - In the Tasks tab of the change record, from the Request Type drop-down list, select Task Template.
- Click Relate.
- In the Select Template dialog box:
- From the Type drop-down list, select Automatic.
- From the Automatic Command drop-down list, select Scheduled Job.
A list of task templates published for Change-Initiated Job appears.
- Select the template and click Relate.
A task is created in the Tasks tab. - In the Tasks tab of the change record, select the task template and click View.
- In the Relationships tab, associate CI to the task and click Save.

To check status of the job
